The 2015 edition of the NCSRA Symposium brought together the Dutch academic community working on cyber security with representatives from government, industry and law enforcement. The symposium was organised within the framework of the second Nationale Cyber Security Research Agenda (NCSRA-II), with IIP-VV acting as one of the coordinating partners.

Program structure

The day was structured around the five thematic pillars of NCSRA-II: identity and privacy, network and system security, software and platform security, hardware security, and the human factor. Each pillar received a plenary keynote followed by a parallel session in which ongoing PhD and postdoc projects were presented.

Keynote speakers

The keynote slots were filled by senior researchers from Dutch universities together with international guests from comparable national programs. Representatives of the Nationaal Cyber Security Centrum (NCSC) and of the National High Tech Crime Unit gave short reflections from the operational perspective.

Poster session and award

The afternoon poster session offered junior researchers the opportunity to present early-stage work to a mixed audience. The Dutch Cyber Security Research Award (DCSRA) for the best PhD thesis defended in the previous year was presented at the closing of the symposium.
